Great products and services always require a great team. These days, startup teams are diverse and multicultural which allows cross-border co-creation, new market entries and cultural reinforcement. BELT – Baltic Entrepreneurship Laboratories – is a new Smart City platform that brings together individuals, startups and business ideas from Finland, Sweden and Latvia. BELT as a program contains 4 BootCamps organized on a territory of each partner-participant. So far, the first BootCamp has been done in Jurmala, Latvia. Its recap can be watched here.
Connections were made, ideas were exchanged, and companies were established – one of those is vastly moving forward:
“I found myself at BELTJurmala Bootcamp after a series of unplanned events and being a bit lost in the beginning it turned out to be an extremely valuable experience! We met passionate and driven people, learned a lot from each other and had the chance to develop our ideas further in a supportive environment. BELTJurmala introduced me to my current business partner and we continue to work on the idea which we came up with in Jurmala.” – Heikki Viitanen, co-founder of Memocate.
